Existence theorems for some abstract nonlinear non-autonomous systems with delays

For some abstract classes of nonlinear non-autonomous systems with variable and state-dependent delays existence, non-existence and multiplicity of periodic solutions are discussed. To illustrate the efficiency of the method, we obtain some well-known results for applied systems as corollaries of our existence theorems.

Geometric and topological rigidity for compact submanifolds of odd dimension

We investigate rigidity problems for odd-dimensional compact submanifolds.We show that if Mn(n 5)is an odd-dimensional compact submanifold with parallel mean curvature in Sn+p,and if RicM(n-2-1n)(1+H2)and Hδn,whereδn is an explicit positive constant depending only on n,then M is a totally umbilical sphere.Here H is the mean curvature of M.Moreover,we prove that if Mn(n 5)is an odd-dimensional compact submanifold in the space form Fn+p(c)with c 0,and if RicM(n-2-εn)(c+H2),whereεn is an explicit positive constant depending only on n,then M is homeomorphic to a sphere.     

Closedness of the solution map for parametric weak vector equilibrium problems

In this paper we introduced a new definition of vector topological pseudomonotonicity to study the parametric weak vector equilibrium problems. The main result gives sufficient conditions for closedness of the solution map defined on the set of parameters.

A NECESSARY AND SUFFICIENT CONDITION FOR THE COEXISTENCE OF A CLASS OF CUBIC CURVE SEPARATRIX CYCLES AND LIMIT CYCLES TO THE CUBIC SYSTEM

In this paper, we give the necessary and sufficient condition for the coexistence of a class of cubic curve separatrix cycles and limit cycles to the cubic system, and study their topological structures.     

Super-measures and finitely defined topological measures

We introduce a class of set-functions on the set of natural numbers, which are called super-measures. Super-measures are then utilized to characterize a certain class of topological measures (previously called quasi-measures, see below) which arises naturally. The members of this class of topological measures are called finitely defined, and are shown to be dense in the set of all topological measures. Precession and Interference in the Aharonov–Casher and Scalar Aharonov–Bohm Effects

The ideal scalar Aharonov–Bohm (SAB) and Aharonov–Casher (AC) effect involve a magnetic dipole pointing in a certain fixed direction: along a purely time dependent magnetic field in the SAB case and perpendicular to a planar static electric field in the AC case. We extend these effects to arbitrary direction of the magnetic dipole. The precise conditions for having nondispersive precession and interference effects in these generalized set ups are delineated both classically and quantally. Under these conditions the dipole is affected by a nonvanishing torque that causes pure precession around the directions defined by the ideal set ups. It is shown that the precession angles are in the quantal case linearly related to the ideal phase differences, and that the nonideal phase differences are nonlinearly related to the ideal phase differences. It is argued that the latter nonlinearity is due to the appearance of a geometric phase associated with the nontrivial spin path. It is further demonstrated that the spatial force vanishes in all cases except in the classical treatment of the nonideal AC set up, where the occurring force has to be compensated by the experimental arrangement. Finally, for a closed space-time loop the local precession effects can be inferred from the interference pattern characterized by the nonideal phase differences and the visibilities. It is argued that this makes it natural to regard SAB and AC as essentially local and nontopological effects.
